With a focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility, Kempenfelt Graphics was one of the first Canadian printers to receive Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. That means by joining the FSC, they certify that the paper we source meets their very strict standards for the preservation of social, economic, ecological, and cultural needs of present and future generations. It’s the responsible thing to do, and the most cost-effective way we can help both our customers and our planet.
 
We have now earned the desirable environmental tri-certification, as awarded by the three major organizations: FSC, SFI, PEFC.

FSC Certified

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an independent, non-profit organization devoted to encouraging the responsible management of the world’s forest. Under FSC certification, forests are certified against a set of strict environmental and social standards, and fiber from certified forests is tracked all the way to the consumer through the chain of custody certification system. PEFC Certified

The PEFC Council (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization, founded in 1999 which promotes sustainably managed forests through independent third party certification. The PEFC provides an assurance mechanism to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests. Source: http://www.pefc.org

SFI Certified

The Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) label is a sign you are buying wood and paper products from well-managed forests, backed by a rigorous, third-party certification audit. The standard is used widely across North America, and has strong acceptance in the global marketplace so we can deliver a steady supply of third-party certified wood from well-managed forests.
